About Shutter Wonders

Formed in 2007 by Linda and Jeff Enkema, Shutter Wonders is a fine art photography greeting card company. Linda’s love of flowers, color, and the amazing beauty of the Pacific Northwest are translated through her striking photographs. All the photography is her original work.

These images are printed on note cards and CD-sized calendars. All cards come blank inside, and some cards have messages inside for birthday, get well, thinking of you,  thank you, and sympathy. All printing is done by a small Seattle area family-owned business.

Over 30 card and gift shops in the Pacific Northwest carry Shutter Wonders cards and calendars, with Jeff doing all the sales and providing excellent customer service.

In Linda’s Words
Photography has been a passion of mine from an early age. I was drawn to capturing and preserving moments in time, which for many years centered primarily on family and travel. Later, my growing interest in gardening and my love for everything that blooms led to my immersion in still life flower photography. I began printing my bright flower images on note cards, giving them to family and friends. Their encouraging response brought about the launch of Shutter Wonders ™ in 2007 and the adventure of starting a small business.

While my initial efforts centered on photographing flowers against a black background, Seattle’s spring and summer drew me outside into the garden and other less controlled settings. Exploring the magnificent vistas of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest has been rewarding as well as great fun. My husband Jeff accompanies me on many of these adventures as my “sherpa,” as he likes to lament, and he is also Shutter Wonders’ incomparable salesman. Together, we share the thrills and spills of owning a small business.

Digital photography allows me to capture the beauty of God’s creation and the vibrant energy of the city by stopping them at their most perfect moments. My hope is that these images bring pleasure to you, your family, and friends here and around the world.
